Aloha! My name is Summer, and I am a licensed Massage Therapist who is passionate about integrating Yoga and Ayurvedic Consulting into my wellness practice.

I have loved to use my hands to heal since I was young. Always the one to have my hands on another’s shoulders to ease some discomfort. I gravitated to serving others, and spent my career in public service while raising my family. After spending many years working my way to the “corner office with a view”, I realized there was more I could be doing to serve the world and my true purpose. I left public service in 2017, moved to Hawaii and began my education in Healing Arts where I completed a 600 hour comprehensive Massage Therapy Training Program to get my license. That left me wanting more and I went on to attend two more training programs: 60+ hours of Lomi instruction, and an additional 100 hours of clinical massage training to be a Certified Clinical Massage Therapist.

I have been practicing massage therapy since 2017 and have enjoyed every moment of the process. I especially appreciate the interaction with clients, trouble-shooting their aches and pains and working together to accomplish both short and long term goals of pain cessation, relaxation and general wellness. My integrative approach to bodywork blends clinical massage, Lomi and Swedish techniques into a relaxing massage. My goal is to provide medical-minded massage and bodywork that feels just as relaxing as it is therapeutic.

With years of experience as a massage therapist and being an active distance runner who is over 50, I understand the significance of maintaining a healthy connection between the mind, body, spirit and nature. This understanding has been instrumental in my approach to helping others achieve overall wellness.

To further enhance my skills and broaden my knowledge of bodywork, I completed a comprehensive 200-hour teacher training with Open Space Yoga on Oahu. This was very rewarding but I felt that I had barely scratched the surface and yearned for a deeper understanding of yoga and the ancient science behind it. This drove me to pursue a 500-hour program with David Frawley's American Institute of Vedic Studies, where I earned my certification as an Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultant.

Continuing my journey of personal growth and professional development, I completed a 300-hour teacher training program at the Heartwood Yoga Institute. This program helped me delve deeper into the intricacies of Yoga and refine my teaching abilities, particularly for our aging population and those who are looking to improve overall wellness.

I strive to create a friendly, safe and welcoming environment for my clients. I am a firm believer in the power of holistic healing and aim to provide a personalized experience that addresses the unique needs of each individual I work with.
